Are you in the market for a new/used recreational vehicle, have you considered taking the factory tour where they are built? There are many reasons why you should and here are a few?

1. Because it will give you better insight into the type of construction and craftsmanship that goes into each individual rv made by that particular manufacturer.

2. You will get a better feel for the company’s commitment to customer service & satisfaction. Although many of the larger manufacturers can produce hundred RVs in a year, wouldn’t you like to think that they took the time to make each one top quality? Here is your chance to take a look for yourself at your future recreational vehicle, And to get a glimpse into the world of rv manufacturing first hand.

3. Call the manufacturer to find out when they offer factory tours. Most offer more than one tour a day while others offer 1 or 2 a week. This could be one of your first inclinations of how committed the manufacturer is to the customer. Also, find out whether or not they have overnight facilities for their guests. Most do-however some manufacturers reserve spots for owners of their makes and models first.

4. Once you get to the factory, do they make you feel welcome? Are you able to watch the factory workers doing their jobs? How is the “feel” of the operation? Is it a spirit of cooperation or just getting the job done? What type of quality control do they practice? How do they test the RVs for quality?

5. How did they handle your questions? Did they find answers to your questions if they didn’t know them? Were they respectful and patient? Talk to other owners to see what their feelings and experiences are to compare and get a more personalized opinion. Forums/Online communities are a great source of information for starters where you receive information from other owners first hand.

These are just a few steps in helping you in your search for that perfect recreational vehicle
