How to help improve your night driving.

Hey you Rver’s out there! Are you looking to improve your vision when driving during the night? I know I am always looking for ways to help improve the sight of my tired eyes on those dark highways. Don’t know what HID or Xenon stands for? Well here are the definitions:
HID stands for High Intensity Discharge.
It refers to lighting technology that relies on an electrical charge to ignite Xenon gas containted in a sealed bulb. The technology of HID automotive lamps is similar to that of common vapor-filled street lamps. HID lighting doesn’t have filament but instead creates light by igniting an arc between two electrodes. HID lights get their name from the intense white light produced by the electrical discharge. HID lamps are also called xenon lamps, referring to a gas inside the lamps. HID general lighting has xenon lamps, referring to a gas inside the lamps. HID general lighting has been used for years in sports arenas and stadiums around the country.

In comparison to conventional halogen headlamps, the Xenon-Systems provide 200% more light – so the road ahead and also the verge are more effectively and brightly illuminated. The light on the road is similar to what we see in daylight and so is adapted to the natural viewing conditions of the eye. As a result, driving becomes more relacing and secure.

In order to prevent other road users from being dazzled, an automatic leveling system is integrated as a standard in Xenon headlamps. This system adjusts the headlamp permanently to the different situations of load. Adaptive lighting systems combine the advantages of Xenon-light with modern developments for an optimum illumination of the road in every driving situation. These developments include static and dynamic curve light and, prospectively, town and motorway light. Headlamp washing ststems for Xenon headlamps are required by law. They ensure clean lenses and light distribution.

Xenon ststems provide 200% more light than conventional halogen headlamps. But they need about one third fewer power and last longer-nearly a whole vehicle life.
